Space clearing and moon cycles

The moon

In my book, Creating Sacred Space with Feng Shui, I state that all purification work is easier to do and works better between full moon and new moon.

I still recommend this, but don’t advise doing the ceremony on the actual day of the full moon because energies are far too chaotic at that time.

And if you are doing the ceremony with the emphasis on making a new start of some kind rather than purification, then you may like to know that the best time to do it is on the first day of a new moon.

    Dear Karen

In one of your books (or on your blog?) I came across a passage where you say you’d never lend your bell to other people or allow others to touch it, because it would leave their energetic traces on your bell. I am wondering: is there a way of “de-contaminating” bells if they have been touched by others, or if, say, you share a bell with someone, or especially if you bought one second-hand?

    Thank you for your advice!
    Best regards,
    Steffen

  2. Hi Steffen

The information you are referring to comes from my book, Creating Sacred Space with Feng Shui, where I explain, “It is a matter of personal choice whether you let others handle your bell or not. However, if it is important to you to maintain the purity of its vibration, I recommend that you are selective about who touches it and why. I now have one Balinese priests’ bell which I use in my public work that others may touch if invited, and another identical bell which only my partner and I ever touch. I have definitely noticed a difference in energies between the two bells.”

The way to cleanse a Balinese bell that has been accidentally touched by others or shared with someone you no longer wish to share it with is to wash it with Space Clearing water, which I will be happy to supply to you free of charge. You will only need to pay for the bottle it is stored in and the cost of shipping.
