Karen's teachings are based on over a quarter of a century of intensive personal exploration of the unseen worlds of energy that Feng Shui is based on, which have become as tangible to her as the seen worlds. She is best known for the extraordinary sacred spaces she very tangibly creates in her workshops and the profound effects experienced by participants as a result. Karen began doing Space Clearing in 1978. The term was coined by her in 1989 and although it has become a generic term, it truly refers to the specific ceremony she has personally pioneered and developed to a very advanced level.

Karen has a directory of registered practitioners who have received extensive one-on-one training directly from her, and to ensure the standard of services offered by these practitioners, they are required to take advanced classes with her to update and evolve their skills. She has also trained a number of teachers who are franchised to teach some of her workshops.

Born in England, Karen has lived in Bali since 1990, where she has built a feng shui designed hotel and conference centre called Dancing Dragon Cottages, which has quickly become one of the most popular tourist destinations of the East Bali area. Karen teaches workshops in the specially designed Bali Mandala meeting room there and the venue is also hired to other groups on request. Dancing Dragon Restaurant is open to outside guests, and is well known for its high standard of á la carte and buffet catering. If you'd like to meet Karen while in Bali, the best way to arrange this is to send an email a few days before.

2009

In 2009, Karen taught some workshops in Japan and will be teaching a course in Bali in October 2009. For the rest of the year her main focus is on selling her hotel in Bali and writing new books.
