THE E-FACTOR
When you first start clutter clearing it can feel like a chore, but the more of it you do, the more you experience what I call the E-Factor. ‘E’ in this case stands for Exhilaration – the joyful feeling of accomplishment when you finish the job. 

Actually you can experience the E-factor any time you decide to do something and do it. This morning, as an example, I set myself the goal of taking an early morning walk to a certain place, further than I usually go. I got tired before I got there and nearly convinced myself to leave it at that and go home. But instead I ignored the dialogue in my head and just kept walking until I got there. A small goal, you may say, and seemingly unimportant, but the level of exhilaration in my body as I walked back was completely out of proportion to the achievement. I felt fantastic, and the feeling has lasted throughout the day.

It’s exactly the same with clutter clearing. You decide to clear a small drawer, do it, and the feeling of exhilaration that follows is almost heady. All kinds of energy blockages are released in your body, all the failures of previous attempts at clutter clearing are overwritten, and you feel unstoppable. Enjoy!

CLUTTER CLEARING STORY OF THE MONTH
Here's a great clutter clearing story I received from someone called Patty...

"Dear Karen, I recently read your book, Clear Your Clutter with Feng Shui, and really enjoyed it.  So here's the story. I bought your book around 6 years ago after someone highly recommended it to me just because she felt great after reading it and thought that I would really enjoy it. Well, there it sat with the rest of my clutter for 6 years! With every move I brought this book with me along with so much other stuff - I think I moved six times in six years. Anyway, I just moved again and found your book and for some reason was ready to read it. Once I started I couldn't put it down and I really got so much out of it.

My fiancé and I sorted through all of our stuff that we left in his parents shed. We threw stuff in garbage bags that we wanted to bring to the dump, and we put the rest of the stuff that we "needed" in plastic storage bins to bring to our new apartment where there is little space for it. We went to the dump on Easter Sunday and it was closed. My future father-in-law told us he would bring it for us on Monday morning. We could use his vehicle to drive back home and he would use ours to bring our stuff to the dump, then bring the rest to our place.

Well, for some reason he didn't get the part that we were bringing the stuff in the plastic bins to our place, and he threw it all away!

At first I gasped when he told me and thought of all of my things like my summer shoes, my winter coats, my photo albums etc... Then I felt this tremendous sense of relief! I feel great, but I know that if I hadn't read your book I would have been devastated. I told my future father-in-law this and he just looked at me like I was nuts."

A SPIRITUAL JOURNEY COURSE IN BALI 
I thought the course I taught last December would be the last one ever in Bali, but the writing flows here like nowhere else on Earth so I've decided to stay here for the next year and continue to put my focus on writing new books. I will therefore be offering another 'Spiritual Journey' course in September 2008, and online booking has already begun. More information in the Upcoming Events section below.
