Every culture has a form of space clearing but the techniques developed by Karen Kingston are widely acknowledged as being the most effective, and can be used by people of all nationalities and ethnic and religious backgrounds. WHAT HAPPENS IN A SPACE CLEARING CONSULTATION

A profoundly beautiful and highly effective ceremony is conducted to clear out stagnant energies (your own energy build-up or that of people who have occupied the space before you). The space is then consecrated to new, higher frequencies, giving you a completely fresh start. Practitioners trained in the advanced techniques of the Karen Kingston School of Space Clearing are able to tailor the consultation to the specific needs of each client and the specific nature of each space.

The ceremony conducted by the space clearing practitioner is in three parts:

Preparation

• Establishing the focus for the consultation
• Hand sensing walls, furniture and objects to read information about the energies in a space
• Setting up a space clearing altar to anchor energies during the ceremony
• Creating an energy matrix of offerings

Clearing

• A series of circuits around the inside perimeter of the space, using advanced techniques to clear out stagnant energies (clapping, belling and more)

Consecration

• A special process using harmony balls and highly skilled presencing techniques to consecrate the space to new, higher frequencies

PREPARING FOR A CONSULTATION

To prepare for a Space Clearing ceremony you will need to arrange for infants and small children to be taken care of by someone at a separate location, and you will get the best value from the ceremony if you:

~ Clean and clutter clear as much as possible beforehand (but not to the point of exhaustion).

~ Book the consultation for a time when you will not be going out for the rest of the day or going away on vacation/ sleeping away from home during the following week.

CLUTTER CLEARING

While advice on general clutter clearing forms a part of both space clearing and feng shui consultations, for some people it is necessary to focus on this aspect as a priority. Karen has included a lengthy chapter about this important topic in her first book, Creating Sacred Space with Feng Shui, and her second book, Clear Your Clutter with Feng Shui, is entirely devoted to the subject.

She explains: "The reason clutter is such a problem is because it impedes the flow of energy in our homes and workplaces. Anything neglected, forgotten, unwanted, unloved or unused, as well as clutter of the 'just too much for the amount of space' variety will cause energy to slow and stagnate, and then we complain that we (or our finances, relationships, etc) feel tired, lethargic, aimless or stuck. The clutter itself begins as a symptom of what is happening with us energetically and then becomes a part of the problem itself."

WHAT HAPPENS IN A CLUTTER CLEARING CONSULTATON

In a clutter clearing consultation, the practitioner will go around the inside perimeter of your home, energy sensing every item in it with their hands. Using an advanced technique developed by Karen Kingston and described in her book, the practitioner will explain in depth exactly how your clutter is affecting you and holding you back in your life and will give you practical advice on how to clear it.

These consultations have motivated and inspired even the most entrenched clutterholics. Many clients experience small miracles in their lives after clutter clearing. They report feeling that they suddenly have a new lease of life and that they are able to let go of the past and move forward with confidence. Improvements in health, vitality, levels of self-respect, courage, increased prosperity, better relationships, and so on, are common. For most it is a major life turning point.

In many cases the practitioner may recommend a space clearing ceremony at the same time as a clutter clearing consultation to remove the stagnant energy that has accumulated around the clutter and enable the clutter clearing process to proceed more easily.

FENG SHUI

Feng Shui is the art of balancing and harmonizing the flow of energy in buildings to create health, wealth and happiness in your life.

The structure and shape of your home or workplace, the interior design of the building, the positioning of furniture, the decor, and a host of other factors combine to have a beneficial or detrimental effect on those who occupy the space. If you have ever heard yourself say, "That problem started from when we moved here", this is a pretty sure clue that the building is implicated in causing your current difficulties. Problems relating to health, finances, relationships, career, and many other issues have all been helped by expert feng shui advice. It is also an invaluable tool to enhance any aspect of your life which has become a focus for you and you would simply like to improve.

Karen Kingston specializes in training space clearing practitioners to a very high standard. She does not train feng shui practitioners as there are many other teachers already doing this. Some of her space clearing practitioners have feng shui certification with other teachers, and some do not. Some practise a similar style to her, others do not. It is therefore best to enquire about the practitioner's feng shui training before booking a feng shui consultation.

ADVICE THAT MAY BE INCLUDED IN A FENG SHUI CONSULTATION

• Architectural corrections
• Interior and exterior design and colour schemes
• Furniture placement
• Bagua cures and enhancements (placement of mirrors, crystals, etc)
• The effects of pictures, decorative ornaments, and other symbology in the space
• Geopathic stress-related problems
• An electromagnetic stress health check (using a professional meter as well as the consultant's own energy-sensing abilities to pinpoint problem areas)

Each feng shui consultation is personalized and tailored to the needs of the person or people occupying the space.

FEES

Consultation fees are determined by:

• The type of consultation
• The skill and experience of the practitioner
• The size of the property
• How far it is from where the practitioner is based
• Materials used (flowers, harmony ball(s), candles & sometimes incense)

Fees range from:
£50-£150 per hour in the UK
$95-$300 per hour in the USA
Equivalent prices elsewhere in the world

Most practitioners have a minimum call-out of 2 or 3 hours.

Many practitioners are willing to travel to do consultations. They will be happy to give you a quotation that includes a reasonable amount for their travel time and expenses to do so, shared between however many consultations they do on that visit. This means that if you have a few friends who would also like consultations around the same time, it will work out less expensive for all of you.

Consultations with Karen Kingston

To book a private consultation with Karen Kingston, first check her International Itinerary! for availability. Her fees are currently US $300 per hour plus travel time plus materials. Her minimum call-out is 2 hours.

Personal Sessions with Karen Kingston

When possible, she offers one hour personal sessions after her workshops. These are open to workshop participants wishing to do deeper spiritual work. Her fee is US $300 or equivalent.
