Every year I receive a number of emails asking, ‘Can you recommend a bell to use if buying a space clearing bell is beyond one’s budget?’
My dilemma in answering this question is that I honestly don’t know of any other bells that even come close. I had a collection of over a hundred bells at one time in my life and threw them all away after discovering Balinese bells. There’s nothing to compare with them, as I explain in these blogs I wrote some time ago:

What’s so special about Balinese bells
However, I don’t suggest giving up on getting a Balinese bell just because it’s financially out of reach at the moment.
Other options
One suggestion I can give is to see this as an investment in improving the quality of your life, and save up to buy one. A small Space Clearing bell costs just £120, so that’s £10 per month for 12 months. The trick with saving for large purchases is the same as the trick to clutter clearing – break it down into small manageable chunks.
Another possible approach is to ask friends and relatives to give you Paypal gift vouchers that can be redeemed for a bell for your birthday or for Christmas.
Or you could share the cost (and the bell) with a good friend who would also like to do space clearing.
And finally, as announced in my latest newsletter, we are running a free prize draw in November 2011 where the prize is a free large Space Clearing bell and bell stand (retail value £190).
It’s open to anyone in the world with no purchase necessary, and includes free shipping. Good luck!
